4-17-10 domino game

my friend alan and trash. Trash was found in the dump crawling around. I gave Alan a bunch of these treats we sent down for St. Cash. As you know, Cash didn't have his papers filled out correctly, and was turned away at the airport. For the best, the place was no place for a beast anyway, to begin with. Particularly not an animal of such genteel and sensitive a nature as our friend Saint Cassius Quentin Houndlor Foolish Abacus 9 Livingstone. Alan saved me a crazy amount of work I had planned, pulling the boat up the hill with a come along, inch by inch by bringing over his 6000 pound winch. We hooked it up to the cement posts, and dragged that sucker up there on tracks we made from the forms the posts were made with. Alan is building down the road. Good guy. One of a very few white Bahamaians, his family goes back to the original crew in 1648 or so. He's also the only one there with a Canadian accent, eh?

Aaron's temporary scaffolding. Aaron is very sharp, good builder, very trustworthy, and a hard worker. People who wanted to work with me tried to run him down: "he's just a plumber." yeah, a plumber and a lot more than that. He's a good friend who continued to hang in there with me after I changed my plans many times, and reiterated many times that he just wanted to help me get something built before I left. He'll be finishing the soffit from that scaffolding.

One of the last nights I was there, I had a little party, with Rosalie, Max, Aaron, his wife Lisa, Big Dus, Marvin, Ton, and Walter. This is Aaron in the red, then clockwise, Ton, Lisa, Dus, and Marvin gettin' wrapped up in dominoes. good social game.

Here's Aaron when we were up talking one night.

If you were sleeping up here, you'd be taking a "lofty" view of things!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
